About the position
Responsibilities
• Provides technical guidance for endpoint management platform server administration, including setup, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Conducts analysis of system logs and coordinates the problem management process, providing Tier II support for complex endpoint technology issues.
• Implements endpoint management configurations and patch management mechanisms to maintain endpoint security and compliance with university security controls.
• Evaluates and implements new endpoint technologies, making recommendations for enterprise endpoint management platform design.
• Documents server support methods, procedures, and configurations, and develops disaster recovery plans for complex systems.
• Assists with project coordination, completing reports and summaries for management, and setting technical direction as part of an information resource team.
• Mentors and coaches student technicians, participating in IT training and professional development activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of systems administration experience.
• Jamf Certified Tech (Jamf 200), Jamf Certified Admin (Jamf 300), Jamf Certified Expert (Jamf 400), and Jamf Endpoint Security Admin (Jamf 370) certifications.
Nice-to-haves
• Three years of experience enrolling and managing Apple devices using Jamf Pro or equivalent platform.
• Two years of experience managing enterprise application deployments and security policies using Jamf Pro.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, change management, and technical documentation.
• Experience in scripting with Bash or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of security compliance standards including NIST SP 800-53r5 and CIS Benchmarks.
