Key Responsibilities
- Teach voice, piano, and guitar lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels, both in-person and potentially online
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to individual students' needs and goals
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and musical growth
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal student outcomes
- Set your availability within our open hours, with preference given to candidates with consistent and reliable scheduling
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess:
- A degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience that demonstrates your musical expertise
- A proven track record of teaching music, preferably to young musicians, with a passion for nurturing talent and fostering musical growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining a professional and organized teaching environment
- The ability to pass a routine background check, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for our students
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Experience teaching multiple instruments or vocal styles, including but not limited to voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele
- A background in music theory, composition, or music history, which can enhance your teaching and provide a more comprehensive musical education
- Familiarity with music education technologies, such as online learning platforms or digital tools, to support your teaching and student engagement
