Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for modeling and conveying a unique and magnificent client experience. Your primary duties will include:

  • Registers sales on designated sales register, provides clients with respectful, fair, agreeable, and productive checkout service.
  • Engages clients and patients by greeting them and offering help with items and services, resolving customer issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Models and shares customer support best practices with all colleagues to deliver an unmistakable and brilliant client experience, including relational habits (e.g., greeting, eye-to-eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service values (e.g., offering assistance proactively, recognizing needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
  • Provides clients with respectful, agreeable, quick, and efficient help, recommends items for sale to clients, and suggests upsell as well as companion items.
  • Registers client purchases on appointed sales register, collects cash, and distributes change as mentioned; processes voids, returns, postponements, discounts, and trades as necessary.
  • Maintains counters and retires clean and well-marketed, takes stock, and keeps up with records, checks in and prices stock as required or as directed by the head manager or conveyed by the shift leader.
  • Carries out Organization resource protection methods to identify and minimize profit loss, ensures compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled items (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
  • Develops and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super designs, and sale stock, completes resets and updates as directed.
  • Assists with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves), aids in stock rotation, using the first-in, first-out method, and restocks outs for edible items.
  • Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment, provides client assistance in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, banner print, and creative machine, interesting sale of special photo items.
  • Takes on web pick obligations (screens orders in Picture Care Plus, handles orders (pick items), delivers orders to clients as they arrive at the store), assists with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, deliberate store environment and appearance.
  • Conforms to all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with colleagues, completes special tasks and other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
