Some of your key responsibilities will include: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to have: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus: * Previous customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting * Experience working with cash registers and point-of-sale systems * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process transactions and maintain accurate records * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
