Join Our Team

We're seeking an experienced Developmental Paraprofessional to join our team on a part-time basis, working from the comfort of your own home. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients while developing your skills and career in child development.

About the Role

As a Developmental Paraprofessional, you'll work one-on-one with our clients in their homes, using our developmental approach to care. You'll be fully supported by our Clinical team, who will guide you on your journey to becoming an invaluable resource to a child and their family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work a micro part-time role consisting of approximately 4-10 hours per week
  • Earn as you learn our unique method of care, with paid training at $20/hr and approximately 20 hours of training
  • Provide one-on-one play-based care for a child or young adult with autism
  • Follow a personalized plan for your client, reporting progress each session through our custom mobile app
  • Communicate thoughtfully and professionally with your client's family, ensuring they become an informed extension of our care program
  • Attend clinical lectures and team meetings to aid in your development

About You

We value what you want to become more than where you've been. We encourage you to apply if you can commit to the following:

  • You have experience as a Teacher's Assistant, Camp Counselor, Childcare Specialist, Special Education Teacher/Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, or Personal Caregiver
  • You have an interest in a career in child development, with previous experience working with children a plus
  • You're able to commit to working for Positive Development for at least 12 months
  • You possess the patience and empathy required to work with a child who deserves both
  • You have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or state ID, with work-to-work commute mileage reimbursement available
  • You're able to lift heavy objects, regularly get up and down from the floor, and actively play with children
  • You feel called to contribute to the flourishing of individuals with developmental needs
