Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to fill the role of a Retail Operations Manager Trainee and Coach. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop teams effectively through teaching, training, and active listening. This includes touring stores, providing feedback, and ensuring all associates understand and can implement business solutions and company initiatives.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, following and promoting the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, ensure customer needs are met, and develop action plans to address any deficiencies.
  • Financial Performance and Sales Growth: Drive the financial performance and sales of designated store areas by analyzing P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and operational processes.
  • Supervision and Development: Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following minimum qualification requirements:

  • 2 years of college
  • 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
  • 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience

Additionally, for facilities that sell firearms, you must be willing to undergo a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and complete Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities selling ammunition with state-specific requirements, you may need a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, with responsibilities including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
