Remote Netflix Tagging Specialist (Entry-Level) - $35/Hour

As a broadcast operations specialist, you will coordinate and execute live-focused initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of live-streaming events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and partner with multiple stakeholders and clients for smooth execution of live-streaming events
• Collaborate with contractors and in-house engineers for transmission planning
• Establish and maintain partnerships with satellite and IP transmission carriers, hardware and broadcast companies
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report audio, video, and infrastructure issues
• Monitor and manage cloud-based and hardware-based video infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry

Requirements:

• 3+ years of broadcast remote operations experience (preferably network level) in a coordination or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of digital audio/video basics, compression technology, distribution formats, and associated technologies
• Experience with video transport protocols (SDI, SMPTE-2110, RTP, RTMP, SRT, Zixi, RIST, HLS, MPEG-DASH)
• Proficient in video and audio compression technology
• Knowledge of nuances of remote production and on-site technical operation

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure
• Experience with at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python)
• Experience with Unix (or Unix-based systems), shell scripting, and API expertise
• Experience with internet technologies and distributed systems with microservices architecture
